Archival Odourless Lean Medium is a very fluid general-purpose medium used with oil paints to reduce the paints viscosity and increasing their transparency. This fast-drying medium can also be used for glazing. Altering the body of your paint with this fluid medium will allow for improved glide and spreadability, perfect for underpainting.

Archival Odourless Lean Medium are based on fast drying alkyd resins which evaporates much more slowly than turpentines resulting in less harmful vapours being generated during a painting session and therefore a healthier alternative. The fast-drying properties of this medium also make it ideal for layering, and its ability to increase the transparency of oil paints allows it to create a gloss-like finish that is perfect for glazing.
